What is roadside assistance and what does it cost?
AA Towing Services offers 24/7 roadside assistance across Metro Detroit including jump starts, car lockouts, flat tire changes and emergency fuel delivery. Most services start at $65 and are completed on the spot in under 20 minutes, with no tow required. Average arrival is 20 to 35 minutes.

How we do it differently
We would rather not tow you
A jump or a tire change costs you a fraction of a tow, and it takes our truck twenty minutes instead of ninety. When the roadside fix is the right answer, that is the one we sell you.
Told before we drive
The dispatcher tells you the flat rate for your service before the truck moves. If we get there and the job turns out to be a tow after all, you hear the tow price and decide — we do not roll it into the bill.
Equipment that will not scratch
Lockouts get air wedges and long-reach tools, not a coat hanger and a prayer. Modern door frames and side-curtain airbags do not forgive improvised entry, and we carry the tooling to avoid both.

What does roadside assistance cost?
Most roadside services start at $65 within our core service area — jump start, lockout, tire change or fuel delivery. Fuel is billed at pump price on top. You hear the number before we dispatch, and it does not change unless the job turns out to be something different than described.
Is roadside assistance cheaper than a tow?
Substantially. From $65 roadside call against a tow that starts at $80 for the hook-up and climbs with every mile, plus you keep driving your own car instead of collecting it from a shop the next day. Roughly half our calls end without a tow, and that is the outcome we aim for.
How is this different from AAA?
No membership, no annual fee, and no waiting for a third-party contractor to accept the job. You pay per call. If you use roadside service once or twice a year, paying per call usually costs less than a membership; if you use it monthly, a membership probably wins.
Do you come out for roadside calls at 3am?
Yes. We run trucks around the clock, every day of the year. Overnight calls sometimes run a little longer on arrival time simply because fewer trucks are out, but somebody answers the phone and somebody comes.
The person who shows up is an AA Towing driver in a marked truck with the same logo you see at the top of this page. If a truck arrives that does not match, do not load your car onto it.
